Abhijit Ghoshal, one of the most versatile singers of today’s generation, has been mesmerizing the music connoisseurs worldwide with his mellifluous voice. He is the only singer in the history of SaReGaMaPa, who has won it 11 consecutive times and interestingly, HE LEFT SAREGAMAPA VOLUNTARILY,THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED TILL DATE.He has been judged by virtuosos like Pt.HariPrasadChaurasia, Ustaad Vilayat Kahn, Naushaad, Ustad Rashid Khan, Jagjit Singh and the likes.
Music education:Since childhood, Abhijit was interested in Music. He inherited it from his mother Smt.Snigdha Ghoshal, and learnt from his maternal aunt Smt.Swapna Paul. He inculcated some finer nuances of music from Pt.Ramashray Jha’Raamrang’ and stylization and rendition proficiencies from Smt.Kamala Bose in Allahabad. In Mumbai, he learnt from Smt.Geeta Chanda and presently, he is under the tutelage of Pt.Shrikant Waiker.
Educational Background: Abhijit has topped throughout in his schools n clolleges. He topped from Allahabad University and had been a Gold Medalist. Later on, he got selected as probationary officer in State Bank.
Along with that, he has won numerous awards for his painting and arts’ skills in inter-collegiate fests and youth festivals.
Film LONDON DREAMS: He has sung ‘JASHN HAI JEET KA’ for Shanker Ehsaan Loy { Lyrix by Prasoon Joshi } in the Vipul Shah film-London Dreams(2009), starring Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan. Abhijit’s song was the climax song of the movie-picturised at Wembley Stadium-London.
Film KISAAN:Abhijit has also lent his voice in the song ‘JHOOMO RE JHOOMO’ in the film-Kisaan [2009].
Saregamapa 1000 Episodes’ Celebration: Abhijit was invited to be the Captain of West Bengal team in Saregamapa-MegaChallenge- celebrating 1000 episodes of Saregamapa on Zee TV. Abhijit’s team made it to the finals, attempting some never heard songs en-route.
Phir Mile Sur Mera tumhara: Abhijit assisted Louiz Banks in the music making of Phir Mile Sur-launched on Zoom on 26t Jan 2010. Abhi has sung the Marathi track { for Atul Kulkarni }, Kannada track { for Vijay Mallaya }, Hindi tracks for Karan Johar n Shiamak Davar and All the backing vocals in Phir Mile Sur.

He is the only singer who renders the whole Mahishasur Mardini solo- it is his sheer devotion for Shri Maa, which actuates Abhijit to sing continuously for 2-2.5 hours in the praise of the AadiShakti.
Concerts n tours: He has travelled all over the country and abroad for concerts like The Feldkirch International music festival in Vienna Austria, and Dubai, Singapore, Paris, Dar-E-Salam Tanzania, Belgium etc.He has performed with santoor virtuoso Pt.Shiv Kumar Sharma, Jazz Maestro Louiz Banks,and many more classical musicians. He has also sung with playback singers like Alka Yagnik,Sadhna Sargam,Kavita Krishnamoorthy,Shreya Ghoshal etc.
Cartoons and Jingles:Abhijit has extensively sung for cartoons like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, Justirizers, Pokemon, Ice Age2,Care Bear and many more, and jingles like “Garmi Alvida” of Navratna Talc for Shahrukh Khan, Rajiv Gandhi Gram Vidyutikaran Yojana and Madhya Pradesh Swarna Jayanti Jingles with Louiz Banks ,Aktel cellphones of Bangladesh and Cadbury’s ad with Shantanu Moitra.
Languages Sung in:Apart from Hindi and Bangla, he has lent his voice in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Sikkimese, Assamese, Bhojpuri and Avadhi. Abhijit’s first love is the divine language Sanskrit.
In the coming months, Abhijit is going to come up with many wonderful musical projects.
